The Book Exchange Inn:
The Inn was built in 1998 as an authentic reproduction of a Bavarian home by a native of Bavaria. Situated on one of the historic lots on the south face of Grassy Mountain, this home offers a "Parkway view" to the south for a distance of 50 to 60 miles. On the clearest of days, we can see the tip of Kings Mountain located to the west and south of Charlotte, NC.
The home has a formal dining area, living room with a wood burning fireplace, a library with TV/CD/DVD player as well as a modern, open kitchen, gas range and stove with an abundance of kitchen utensils make this a true cook's kitchen. Two open balconies offer a surreal view and an outdoor eating area with table, umbrella and grill.
There are three bedrooms [king, queen and double beds] on the third floor and there are three full baths [2 on third floor, 1 on second floor] and a full basement with garages and elliptical workout bicycle provided. The home is heated with radiant hot water heat and cooled by the cool air found at 3700 feet in elevation.
We rent by the week for a charge of $1500: 1/2 of the rent must be paid in advance at the time of booking. We accept major credit cards. All linens, towels and sundries are provided in abundance. House cleaning is preformed weekly between uses or between weeks if you plan to stay for multiple weeks. And we are pet friendly with a security deposit requested for extra cleaning.
